“CafeSonique.com is a Flash-based internetsolution that delivers voice, music, video, B2B chat, messaging, and 3D virtual room and building creation services”. While this still is pretty vague to me, the website is awesome.
It takes a while to load the animations, and the navigation through the buildings may feel a bit slowish, but check out the website. A grid with 3D buildings, animations and solid graphics make this website an award winner.

To be honest, I have no idea what pirogov.ru is about, since it is all in Russian. But the moment I saw the website, I knew I had to list it.
It shows you a relaxing view from the beach, waves rolling in and a gnetle breeze moving the palmtree in the picture. A great source for some relaxing and inspiration.

DietistSamira.nl is a Dutch website about a nutrition expert called Samira. She writes articles about health in general, and all facts around it.
Her website looks very professional. The light blue combined with a darker red create a sharp contrast, and looks fresh. Her website is very basic and gives just the info a visitor would want, nothing more, nothing less.

Duirwaigh.com is a pretty extreme website. It began as an online gallery website in 1999, and evolved to the best place nowadays to find ‘mythopoetic art’.
The design of the site is something you won’t find a lot online. It’s pretty bizarre and very creative. Things I can make clear from the header seem to be the tents of a circus, a classic sun, and a few birds flying around. Take a look for yourself, very impressive!

This time a darker website for review: Discoapp.com. The website is all about Disco, a disc burning tool for Mac users.
The bright red creates a nice contrast with the darker surroundings, and really makes the logo stand out. The website is clean and accessible, and they made sure the more important part of the text stood out by making it brighter.
Further more this website does not contain a lot of pages; most of the information is right there on the homepage. It gives a clean and easy overview of all the possibilites.

The website stats a bold header with a lot of creativity put into it. Next to that we see a few Apple products in there, which still seem to be linked to graphical artists and designers. Make sure to check out the site, it contains a ton of useful stuff and inspiration.

Since we are trying to create a collection to provide inspiration, this website is a must. AListApart.com is a very minimalistic website, with a lot of information on it. The main focus was providing information without too much graphics around to distract the reader.
The website consists of articles targeting “people who make websites”. The main topics are about typography on the web, usability, user-friendliness of the layout and things to consider when making a website. It is fun to read, and you will learn a lot on the way.

The first thing you will notice about Codeigniter.com is the use of the color red. The site looks overly bright, and focuses the attention right where they want it to be: at the header, with a clear explanation about the product and the most important actions right up for grabs. The use of a glassy flame for a logo made me smile.
The website is very user-friendly; there is a lot of spacing, giving it room to breath. Next to that, a lot of icons are used to create visual borders between blocks of content. The layout is neat and logical, but also pleasing to the eye.
The use of bright red and orange makes it hard to forget about the website, once you paid it a visit.
