Their website is pretty original! They created their website based on a company floorplan, each room represents another part of the website. Combined with a clean layout overall, and the clear navigation it makes an excellent website.

Duirwaigh.com is a pretty extreme website. It began as an online gallery website in 1999, and evolved to the best place nowadays to find ‘mythopoetic art’.

The design of the site is something you won’t find a lot online. It’s pretty bizarre and very creative. Things I can make clear from the header seem to be the tents of a circus, a classic sun, and a few birds flying around. Take a look for yourself, very impressive!

DesignJunction.com.au is a web development company based in Australia. They have made quite a few impressive designs and logos.

Their website uses brown and creme colors to create a professional layout. A lot of white space to keep things clean and easy to navigate, and a few icons here and there to support the text. All of this combined, and you get a pretty impressive website.

Komodomedia.com is a website made by Rogie King, and is well known amongst the bloggers. He has won several prizes already, and he keeps on improving his website. Make sure to check the “foliage-o-meter” on the right side, this let’s you control the amount of foliage on the website, nice touch!

Rogie writes articles about his source of inspiration and experiments with web technology. You will find some great freebies on the site as well, like icons and usable graphics. Overall it’s a great site to get some inspiration from.

Dino Latoga is a fan of HTML and CSS valid websites (with good reason!), and creates them perfectly. His website is based around the color brown, and looks very professional and calm.

Also check out his content, he writes articles filled with tips and examples of jQuery usage, themes for blogging engines, web design inspiration and much, much more. Though his portfolio only shows a few works of him, you can tell he loves creating websites.

Stopdesign.com is a very clean website to look at, and a breeze to find information on. The company was founded by Douglas Bowman in 1998. Another interesting thing to mention; Douglas is the Creative Director of Twitter.

He is using images and icons to give you an impression of the software he uses, and to show the visitor his recent artwork. The page is divided in four main categories with their own colorized style and layout. A simple and very effective website!

This website is probably something you haven’t seen before. It’s a big graphic, and the site makes use of it all. Thomas Pojeta made an image starting at the darker part of the sky; space, and goes all the way from air to land to sea to underwater.

First of all, this is without a doubt a very original idea to show your own work. Second, his artwork is amazing. He came up with the idea, made up his mind about the layout, and just made it look beautiful. Take a look for the full experience.

The only downside is the lack of English text. He does offer an English button at the top right of the page, but it’s a basic translation of the content showing on the screen.

Since Getmefast.com is a web design agency, their website should look pretty good, and it does! The first thing you will notice is the cartoonish style they used. It gives a bright and happy feeling on the website, and makes the site look easy to navigate.

Since we are trying to create a collection to provide inspiration, this website is a must. AListApart.com is a very minimalistic website, with a lot of information on it. The main focus was providing information without too much graphics around to distract the reader.

The website consists of articles targeting “people who make websites”. The main topics are about typography on the web, usability, user-friendliness of the layout and things to consider when making a website. It is fun to read, and you will learn a lot on the way.

I have been following a lot of websites in order to get a grip on Photoshop. One of the most impressing websites I found on the internet, is without any doubt Lunacore.com. The dedicated webmaster writes his tutorials with passion, and you can tell he has fun doing so.

Every tutorial is constructively written. He starts with the beginning and purpose of the tutorial, and uses clear graphics to illustrate his means. he does not only conclude with what you just did in order to get the result, he also gives a few examples and tips on what to do with created effects.

Next to the tutorials he runs a blog, where he puts new software to the test, and keeps us updated about Photoshop news in general.
