“Subernova is a web based project management tool to help solo designers, writers, bloggers”. Not much else I can add to that, but it’s mainly the layout of the product which I want to show you.
Subernova is created by Hex.sg, and is using black and white troughout the entire product, with blue as an accent color, used to highlight selected items or options. Creating a strong design with only black, white and blue is pretty impressive!

ThisIsGrow.com is the website of Grow Interactive, a company that creates ‘digital experiences’. They are serving some very big clients; Nike, Motorola and Intel to name a few.
Their website is completely made in Flash, and contains several smooth animations. Also note the drawn animals at the bottom of the screen, simple but effective as a footer to complete the website.

Since we discuss artwork on this website, ShinyBinary.com is certainly welcome here. It is the portfolio overview of Nik Ainley, an illustrator from the UK.
While it is not really a website, it does feature some great works. A perfect example of great graphics and talent!

A more classical design today: Bird-Malaysia.com. The site is developed by Stampede Design and is setup for bird watchers (or birders).
A big header with a quality photo is used to create a good impression. The rest of the site is well laid out, and gives a feel of luxury. The combination of gold letters on a dark green background contributes to this effect a lot. Also the effect of high quality images is very noticeable.

For all Adobe Illustrator users here: Vectips.com is for you! The website is dedicated to Illustrator tips, tricks and tutorials and created by Ryan Putnam (a.k.a. Rype). Ryan also runs Rypearts.com, his personal website, including his portfolio.
Back to Vectips. The site has a clean look, and crates a fresh impression. The main menu items are located on the top left, accompanied with big icons to make it easy to spot and navigate. The posts are setup with a lot of space between them, and make it feel light and easy to read. Certainly worth a visit if you are a designer.

Dragon Interactive is a web design agency based in Los Angeles. The website is very dark, which is not very common for web design agencies in general. The header uses a very nice hover effect, which can be found at their labs site. This sub site provides you with some welcome tips and tools.
The header looks brilliant, with a silver look on the dragon to make it stand out. Also the idea of depth behind it contributes to this effect. Also notable: a timeline is shown on the website, where you can see when they have time for a new project.

Komodomedia.com is a website made by Rogie King, and is well known amongst the bloggers. He has won several prizes already, and he keeps on improving his website. Make sure to check the “foliage-o-meter” on the right side, this let’s you control the amount of foliage on the website, nice touch!
Rogie writes articles about his source of inspiration and experiments with web technology. You will find some great freebies on the site as well, like icons and usable graphics. Overall it’s a great site to get some inspiration from.

Coda.co.za is the personal website of Damien du Toit, an internet professional and photography enthusaist from Capetown, South Africa. He shows his work there in the form of photographs, web development, graphic design and GUI design to name a few.
His website looks pretty basic, but the typography of his logo, and the diagonal navigation at the top make it stand out from the crowd. Small details in a website can really make it or break it.
